About this playlist
Think of this as a boxed run rather than a single session: a long, collected arc of nu jazz and downtempo that keeps returning to the same smoky room. Electric piano sits soft and slightly out of tune, its decay bleeding into warm sub bass, while brushed snares and loose hi-hats drift just behind the beat. Trip hop pulses arrive with a hush, leaving wide gaps of reverb where the mood can settle. Acid jazz moments add a thread of wah-tinged guitar and a little rhythmic bounce, but the overall climate stays nocturnal and wistful. Sequenced for long evenings, it feels like revisiting old tapes in a dim apartment, each return finding a different corner of the same haunting pocket of sound.
