About this playlist
Picture a late-night dial drifting between stations, where a slow breakbeat sits just under the hiss and every edge is softened by tape compression. This playlist plays like a broadcast spliced from several frequencies. Trip hop pulses with dusty vinyl-style drum patterns and low sub bass, while nu jazz brings loose electric piano and upright bass that wander without warning. Post-rock swells arrive as distant, reverb-drenched guitar washes, sometimes cut short like a station losing signal. Math rock appears in brief stuttering rhythms, angular and restless, that snap the flow awake before it settles again. The mood is euphoric in bursts and restless between them, a nocturnal scan for something bright inside dark atmospheres. Best heard in headphones on a long night drive or while cooking with the lights low. Curated by Francesco Lo Prete.
