About this playlist
Some hours belong to wet pavement and a kitchen light left on. This set moves through jazz house, lo-fi house, and the looser edges of tech house, keeping the groove low and unhurried. Drum machines sit slightly behind the beat, swung hats brush against soft kick thumps, and the bass feels rounded, as if recorded through worn tape. Electric piano voicings drift in and out of the mix, leaving room for reverb tails to pool in the corners of the stereo field. Disco house elements surface now and then, adding a lift of bright strings and chopped vocal breath without breaking the calm. Nothing here rushes. The tempo feels like a slow walk under streetlamps, each track giving the rain a little more space to fall. Best heard alone, headphones.
